The inaugural Nations Cup came to an end yesterday after a great weekend of Squash in Tauranga, New Zealand. England were crowned first Nations Cup champions defeating New Zealand in the final of a new squash event intended to trial changes to the traditional competition and scoring formats used at official tournaments, including those on the PSA Tour.

Pan Pacific Masters Day One

The Pan Pacific Masters Squash tournament kicked off yesterday at the Gold Coast's Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium. The tournament features individual games with ages ranging from under 55 to over 70, as well as doubles competitions in men's, women's, and mixed categories. Day one saw local favourites take the lead and some major wins in the 5th game for some of our Pan Pacific Master athletes.

Nations Cup starts tomorrow in New Zealand with innovative format on trial

The inaugural Nations Cup begins tomorrow in Tauranga, New Zealand, with eight teams battling out in a brand new competition that includes a best-of-seven games scoring format, with each game being first to seven points. Australia competes in group A against New Zealand, Scotland and Canada, while England, Europe, United States and New Zealand 'B' make up group B in the initial round-robin stage.

More than 500 matches played over three days for Australian Open Graded events in Sydney

Nele Gilis (BEL) and Miguel Rodriguez (COL) were crowned 2022 Australian Open champions yesterday in Sydney, in a day that also marked the last day of the John Ireland Graded events, played alongside the PSA Challenger 30 event from 28-30 October. More than 230 players participated in thirteen graded competitions from Premier to Junior D Grade, making the Australian Open event week the biggest in decades for participation.

Gilis and Rodriguez lift 2022 City Tattersalls Club Australian Open trophies

Nele Gilis (BEL) and Miguel Rodriguez (COL) have been crowned the 2022 City Tattersalls Club Australian Open champions after a spectacular final day of competition at the Sydney University Sport and Fitness Centre on Sunday. Gilis beat Sabrina Sobhy (USA) in straight games to etch her name in the Spalding–Heather McKay Perpetual trophy, while Rodriguez defeated Greg Lobban (SCO) 3-1 in the men’s final to become the first South American player to claim the Australian Open title.
