WJC Day 1 - Follow the Aussies!

The 2023 WSF World Junior Squash Championships get underway today with the best young players on the planet descending on Melbourne Sports Centres for two weeks of competition.

This week’s individual competitions will culminate with the champions being decided on Sunday, while next week will see the women’s team event contested.

Fans can tune into the action via WorldSquash.TV with the Glass Court, Court 6 and Court 9 matches being streamed live.

Australians in round one action on the first morning of competition are (times are approximate):

  • 12:10pm Connor Hayes (VIC) v Nickhileswar Moganasundharam (MAS) - Court 8
  • 12:45pm Oscar Curtis (WA) v Keng In Leong (MAC) - Glass Court | Live stream available
  • 12:45pm Thomas Scott (NSW) v Rory Richmond (SCO) - Court 7
  • 1:55pm Hannah Slyth (WA) v Louisa Kaven (SCO) - Glass Court | Live stream available
  • 1:55pm Shona Coxsedge (QLD) v Yen-Chi Chen (TPE) - Court 4
  • 1:55pm Courtney Scholtz (VIC) v Sarah Sabry (IRL) - Court 8

Round two matches will take place in the afternoon and evening on Tuesday based on results from the morning session. Australian players who received byes through the first round will take to the court in round two as follows (times are approximate):

  • 5:25pm Erin Classen (WA) v Ocean Ma (CAN) - Court 8
  • 6:00pm Madison Lyon (QLD) v Anrie Goh Chu Yu (MAS) - Glass Court (Live stream available)
