Squash Australia’s Upcoming National Events

With the new year well underway, Squash Australia has a number of national events planned throughout the year. To ensure you don't miss out on entering or any important information, all links and details are provided below.

 


 

Australian Doubles Open, is returning to the Gold Coast again and includes Men’s, Womens’ and Mixed Open Divisions as well as combined graded divisions.

Host: National Squash Centre, Carrara QLD.

In 2023, the Australian Club Championships will return in a revamped format, bringing together players of all abilities to represent their clubs from all over Australia and compete for the title of Australian Club Champion.

Host: Sandgate Squash Centre, QLD

Date: 4-5 March 2023

The Australian Junior Open is back and this time will be hosted in Melbourne. With junior players travelling from overseas and all states and territories to compete in the U11 - U19 Male and Female events.

Host: Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, VIC

The Australian National Championships is returning to the east coast this year. 

After a successful introduction of the U23 category in 2022 this year will see the addition of a National Senior Teams competition. This addition was identified through the 2021 Competition and Event Review which allows players to transition into seniors with opportunities to play at national level. 

Host: Thornleigh Squash and Fitness Centre, NSW

Date: 22-25 June 2023

The Australian Junior Championships (AJC) will be held late in the year and will see over 200+ participants expected, following a strong delivery in WA in 2022. 

The 3 day individual event and 3 day teams event will see groups from U11 through to U19 boys and girls compete it out for the AJC crown. 

Further, changes to the teams event will see the addition of Division 2 with states/territories permitted to submit a team in each division. The aim of this is to grow participation and provide equal opportunity for all states/territories to compete.  

Host: Daisy Hill Squash Centre, QLD

Date: 26 September to 1st October 2023
