Squash Australia's Jenny Duncalf selected for 2022 AIS Coach Summit Program

Eleven high performance coaches from all different sports, including Squash Australia's National Pathways Coach Jenny Duncalf, have been selected for the 2022 AIS Coach Summit Program.
In its second year, the program welcomes a wide range of coaching talent across Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games sports.
The coaches will come together online once a fortnight over the next six months to share insights, develop strategies and test new ideas.
Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) High Performance Coach Development Advisor Dr Paul Perkins said the program is unlike traditional coach education.
"Research shows that most coaches prefer to learn through collaborating and socialising with other coaches rather than through formal learning methods, and this program offers exactly that," he said.
"This informal approach also helps us better understand the unique demands and challenges HP coaches face, which then allows us to better support their ongoing development."
Duncalf said she was excited to be selected for the program.
“It’s great to be selected for the AIS Coach Summit program,” she said.
“The opportunity to collaborate with other coaches from different sports across Australia helps to foster new ideas and information that can be beneficial to my role within Squash Australia.
“So far it’s been a very interesting and thought provoking program and I’m looking forward to continuing with it further.”
The Summit Program is aimed at enhancing coaches' ability to consider different perspectives and ways of thinking through engagement in meaningful discussions and the examination of real-world experiences.
The program will culminate in a two-day, face-to-face summit in 2023.
