Squash Australian Open | What next?

Published Fri 22 Mar 2024

Squash Australia shares the Squash community's disappointment at the cancellation of the ticketed sessions on the Glass Court this week and wants to provide further information regarding what happens next.

Here we attempt to provide a snapshot of what the cancellations mean for ticket holders and fans and how to continue viewing the tournament.

CAN I STILL WATCH THE TOURNAMENT?
SquashTV have opened up their stream of the Squash Australian Open to anyone who wants to view it, without subscription.

Simply head to squash.tv to pick up the stream of both courts - every minute of the tournament is being streamed live and free.

You can also catch all the live action from today on 7plus.

IS THERE SEATING AT SYDNEY UNIVERSITY?
There is extremely limited capacity to view the courts at Sydney University.

Some standing room is available however the best viewing experience will come via SquashTV or 7plus.

I AM A TICKET HOLDER - WHAT HAPPENS NEXT FOR ME?
When tickets were purchased for the Squash Australian Open, an email address was registered with every ticket account.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, emails were sent to every registered email notifying purchasers of the cancellation of their ticketed session.

If our email has not landed in your inbox, please check your ‘Junk’ or ‘Spam’ folders as we have heard from some ticket holders that this is where they found the email.

Information in this email directs ticket holders to the “Squash Australian Open - General Ticketing Terms & Conditions”. The Terms and Conditions outline how to obtain a refund for the cancelled sessions.

Please note that a refund of the Ticket Value is subject to a request for refund being lodged via email within 14 days of the session date. Processing refunds will commence 14 days from the conclusion of the tournament.

We thank you for your support of this year’s event, which continues to grow every year. We apologise for any inconvenience and hope you can still enjoy all the action through our streaming partners over the next three days.
