Squash Australian Open day one venue change

Published Tue 19 Mar 2024

Opening day matches of the 2024 City Tattersall’s Group Squash Australian Open will move from Martin Place to Sydney University following inclement weather in Sydney since Friday.

Long periods of rain and high winds in recent days have slowed construction of the all-glass court, which now cannot be safely completed before Wednesday’s scheduled matches.

Eight first round matches were already scheduled to take place at Sydney University, with the eight matches scheduled for Martin Place now also being shifted to the alternate venue.

Ticket holders will be contacted directly with more information.

Matches which have moved venue will still be streamed LIVE on Squash TV.
