Squash Australia is pleased to announce it is hosting the 2021 Moreton Bay PSA Satellite event at Redcliffe, starting today until Sunday 21 March.

The event welcomes some of the best male and female PSA players in Australia including former World Number 1 Rachael Grinham and Commonwealth Games representatives Tamika Hunt and Sarah Cardwell.

Squash Australia CEO Robert Donaghue says he is thrilled to partner with Moreton Bay Regional Council to deliver such an important event for Squash on the PSA Satellite Tour.

”Squash Australia is excited to be working with Moreton Bay Regional Council to bring some of the best PSA players in the country to the region and continue to grow the profile of squash in Australia,” Mr Donaghue says.

“The quality of talent that will participate in this event will generate a greater profile of squash in the Moreton Bay Region and we hope it can inspire younger players to follow in their footsteps.”

Mayor Peter Flannery said he looked forward to welcoming athletes, officials and spectators to the Moreton Bay Region.

“This event will be a welcomed boost for our region with an estimated $330,000 set to be pumped into the local economy,” Mayor Flannery said.

“This event also provides a great boost for the Scarborough Squash Club which had a particularly tough time following COVID-19 closures.

The event takes place at the Redcliffe PCYC and entry is free to patrons eager to get along and see the action.
