Squash Australia is delighted to be partnering with Salming Australia for the next three years, which will see the global brand become the Official Squash Racquet & Shoe for Squash Australia and naming rights partner to the recently developed Next Gen program.
Salming is a Swedish company that produces high performance Squash shoes and equipment and has a strong presence in Australia as a trusted Squash brand.
Squash Australia CEO Robert Donaghue said that Salming are a valuable addition to Squash Australia's commercial partnership family and share the same commitment to junior development.
“Squash Australia is excited to partner with Salming Australia and we are also excited by their commitment to our Next Gen program,” he said.
“We share the same values when it comes to the development of young players and recognise the importance of nurturing the whole athlete and not just focusing on Squash.
"Supporting athletes in life outside of sport and their development as a person is vitally important and having a partner in Salming that will help facilitate that is a huge boost for our developing athletes.
“Our partnership will ensure that we are able to support young athletes as they strive for success both on and off the court,” Donaghue added.
Steve Walton, Salming Global Racquet Sports Manager said that this partnership with Squash Australia is the next step in their commitment to assisting the Next Generation of Squash talent in Australia.
“By supporting the emerging stars, we also aim to inspire the juniors that are entering our sport. Salming has a no-nonsense mentality that underpins the premium products we develop and the partnerships we invest in. Salming is in full alignment with Squash Australia in wanting to develop the Squash players of tomorrow,” he said.
National Pathways Coach Jenny Duncalf added that the partnership with Salming further strengthens Squash Australia’s commitment to junior pathway development.
“Having Salming on board with our Next Generation program will make sure we are able to continue to provide support to emerging athletes and give them the tools, coaching and mentoring that will help them realise their potential,” she said.
