Squash Australia is excited to announce a new partnership with the Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) as the newest member of the organisation.
SEA is a not-for-profit organisation, with a purpose of protecting and enhancing the natural environment of Australasia by promoting sustainability and regeneration practices.
Squash Australia is committed to introducing more environmentally friendly practices, and is working on developing an environmental sustainability strategy to help our clubs become more energy efficient and reduce water usage.
We’re committed to recycling and reusing old equipment, as we move towards paperless digital systems for competitions and club bookings.
“Squash Australia is committed to advocating for and introducing environmentally friendly practices across the sport that help make the operations of its clubs more efficient and sustainable,” Squash Australia CEO, Robert Donaghue said
SEA Consultant CEO, Katherine O’Regan welcomed the new partnership announcement.
“It’s fantastic when a national sporting body comes on board as a member of SEA,” she said.
“The leadership shown by Squash Australia can affect its 170,000 participants and 350 clubs and affiliations across Australia, paving the way to make real change.
“We look forward to helping the organisation on its sustainability journey as we continue to protect the places where we play.”
