Squash Australia announces virtual World Squash Officiating Town Hall event

Published Thu 06 Jan 2022

Squash Australia invites the Australian squash refereeing community to our World Squash Officiating (WSO) Referee virtual Town Hall to introduce the new process for referee and appraiser education and certification.

Following the announcement of a new long-term partnership with WSO last September, Squash Australia is offering the chance to discuss the new changes associated with the partnership at the online forum on 19 January 2022 at 7pm AEDT.

The online session will allow attendees to garner more insight, ask questions and discuss what changes can be expected and the next steps involved with the use of WSO’s platform.

Providing referees with educational resources online and standardised squash officiating qualifications worldwide, the partnership will allow Squash Australia to develop a clearer and more robust pathway for referees.

As one of the first World Squash Federation Member Federations to partner with WSO, it is an important and exciting step forward with the development and growth of the referee cohort critical to the continued success and development of squash in Australia.
