Squash Australia National Lead - Sport Development, Shaun McEachin, has been announced as a member of the 17-member Project Steering Group for Australia’s first sector codesigned National Sport Participation Strategy.

The Project Steering Group represents a diverse cross section of Australia, with members bringing a wide range of lived and professional experience from national sporting organisations, government, community organisations, and research. The strategy aims to transform the way participation is connected, delivered and supported across the country, and follows the launch of Australia’s High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy.

As a member of the Project Steering Group, Shaun will bring his skills and experience to help guide and support the development of this important initiative. He is passionate about sport participation and has played many sports from a young age, eventually pursuing a career in sports administration.

“I’m humbled and excited to be among such an accomplished group and am looking forward to contributing my skills and experience to this project,” said McEachin.

The Project Steering Group’s efforts to transform participation in sports in Australia are crucial, and Shaun’s expertise in sports development and his dedication to promoting participation in squash and other sports will undoubtedly prove invaluable to the group.
