Pan Pacific Masters Day One

The Pan Pacific Masters Squash tournament kicked off yesterday at the Gold Coast's Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium. The tournament features individual games with ages ranging from under 55 to over 70, as well as doubles competitions in men's, women's, and mixed categories.

Day one saw local favourites take the lead and some major wins in the 5th game for some of our Pan Pacific Master athletes. 

Local favourite David White in the men’s U55’s came through unscathed on the first day, he’ll be up against New Zealander, Simon Slade on day 2. Simon was also undefeated on the first day.

Simon Nance is leading the men's 55-59 draw with 4 wins. While woman’s U60’s Toni white from the Gold Coast takes the lead in her division.

Roger Darvill, is currently leading the men's 60-64 table, closely followed by Scott Lambert. Local lady, Kim Bradney, finished day 1 with 2 wins to top the woman’s 60+ table.

In the men’s 65-69, number 1 seed, Mark Brycki came through a mammoth 13-11 in the 5th against Roy Ollier.

Men's 70+, is headed up by Graeme Richards who is scheduled to play Barry Ford in what’s anticipated to be a big match.
