After COVID-19 outbreaks across the country forced organisers to postpone several squash competitions earlier in the year, Squash Australia is pleased to announce that a number of these events will be revived as part of an exciting Spring Series of squash, running from September through to November pending further COVID-19 restrictions.

The Spring Series will culminate with the Tarra Volkswagen Australian Open and the Roberts and Morrow North Coast Open, providing athletes with the unique opportunity to compete in

back to back PSA Challenger Tour 10 events.

The seven events will comprise of PSA open draws for both men and women with Australia’s best players competing from across the country. The events will also include graded and junior competitions allowing participants to play and watch some of Australia’s best players in action.

National Lead, Competition and Events Tamika Hunt is excited to be able to provide the squash community with some competition opportunities after COVID-19 put so many events on hold.

“It was a collaborative effort with those impacted and to result in the Spring Series is fantastic news for participants and we’re excited to return some significant events to the national calendar.’’

“After a strong National Championships in June we are excited to see the same level of competition return to the Australian Open in November.” Hunt said.
