Squash Australia is pleased to announce a number of new partners who have come on board to support the 2024 Squash Australian Open in Sydney.
In addition to principal partner City Tattersall’s Group, Squash Australia welcomes Southern Cross Group Services, iPropel, Honan Insurance, Jason Li Lawyers and Flip Insurance as sponsors of the tournament.
Robert Donaghue, Squash Australia CEO, has welcomed the interest from a number of companies looking to join forces with the iconic tournament first staged in 1928.
“Squash Australia is fortunate to have partners who support us all year round including the AIS and Australian Sports Commission, Commonwealth Games Australia, the Australian Olympic Committee and many more,” he said.
“Seeing more companies expressing an interest to be part of the biggest event on our calendar is not only pleasing, it also ensures we are able to stage a world class tournament for squash fans around the globe to enjoy.
“We’re now just over a week until some of the best players in the world attempt to win the greatest prize in Australian squash and we’re looking forward to the tournament being a wonderful success.”
The City Tattersall’s Group Squash Australian Open takes place from 20 to 24 March in Sydney, with the centrepiece being the all-glass court to be built on Martin Place in the heart of the city’s bustling CBD.
Eight Australian players are amongst the 48 players heading down under with 14 nations to be represented at the event.
Throughout both the amateur and professional era, the Squash Australian Open has been won by legends of the sport including Heather McKay, Geoff Hunt, Jahangir Khan, Chris Dittmar, Michelle Martin, Sarah Fitz-Gerald, David Palmer and Nicole David.
