It’s time to Raise the Game
Published Thu 08 Jun 2023
Squash Australia is transitioning to a streamlined new membership model in July which will allow the sport to meet the challenges ahead and take advantage of the opportunities the next decade provides us.
Squash is moving to an individual participant registration and online payment system, which many participants will already be familiar with from other sports.
“In recent years, most sports in a Australia have moved to a membership model very much in line with what we’re bringing in with MySquashAUS,” said Robert Donaghue, Squash Australia CEO.
“We’ve worked closely with the State and Territory associations around the country to develop this model and we will go live on 3 July 2023.
“The new model presents a change to the way participants have registered and renewed previously, but the process to activate your profile and move onto the new platform is incredibly simple and will have wide-ranging benefits for individuals, clubs and states.”
The membership model establishes uniform criteria to determine the type of registration individuals require. These range from a full ‘Compete’ membership for those who take part in competitions at all levels of the game, through a free digital membership for those who just want to keep up with what’s happening in the sport.
This provides a sustainable, simpler and fairer way to distribute the costs right across our game.
