Squash Australia is excited to announce that entries have opened for the 2022 Australian Junior Open in April.

Bendigo Squash Centre, which sits in the heart of regional Victoria, will play host to the four-day competition that will feature both individual (9-11 April) and doubles (12 April) events.

This year's edition of the Australian Junior Open marks the first Platinum Australia Junior Squash Tour (AJST) event since 2019 after the impacts of the pandemic over the past two years.

Squash Australia’s National Lead of Competition and Events Tamika Hunt said the Australian Junior Open provides an exciting opportunity for junior squash players across Australia to come together on a national scale again.

“We are very excited to have the Australian Junior Open in Bendigo and most of all bringing the junior squash community together again with players getting to see old friends, make new ones and of course play the sport they all enjoy,” she said.

“The event will have some strong competition with the best players coming to compete from across the country,” Hunt added.

The Australian Junior Open will feature boys and girls singles competition from Under 11 to Under 19 while the highly anticipated doubles event will be back with the U15 and U19 Boys, Girls and Mixed categories.
