Australian Club Championships - everything you need to know

The Australian Club Championships return with a revamped teams format, bringing together players of all abilities from all over the country to compete at Sandgate Squash Centre from 4-5 March 2023. 

The event is in a new format and encourages clubs from around Australia to compete for the national title in Divisions 1 to 4 as well as an overall Champion Club. This year's event will see over $4000 in cash and prizes on offer.

Sandgate Squash Centre Manager Nathan Turnbull is excited to be hosting the event, giving their members the opportunity to compete for a prestigious title with home court advantage.

“Hosting the Championships allows us to showcase our centre and give our members an opportunity to play in a national competition at our own club,” said Turnbull.  “The excitement is definitely the potential to hopefully play three or four opponents that you have never played before.

“Variety of matches is something we don't usually get in house or interclub competition.”

National Lead for Competitions & Events, Tamika Hunt, is excited to have the event back on the calendar for the first time since 2019.  

“The Club Championships is the perfect opportunity for clubs from all over Australia to come together and compete as teams,” said Hunt“The event will cater to the social and competitive aspects of the sport, providing an offering for players of all abilities and motivations - a unique player experience for all.”
