ANC Day 3 | Finalists decided in Perth

Published Sat 15 Jun 2024

The cream has risen to the top of the Australian National Championships in Perth with the top seeds progressing through to Sunday's finals.

Jess Turnbull and Alex Haydon will face-off in a repeat of the 2023 decider after both moving through comfortably in their semi-finals.

Turnbull accounted for long-time friend and rival Sarah Cardwell 3-0 before Haydon downed Madison Lyon by the same scoreline.

Rhys Dowling is lining up for his fourth straight ANC Final, after being pushed hard by Nick Calvert. While Dowling took the early lead, Calvert hit back to claim the second game before the No.2 seed recovered to win 3-1.

Dowling will face Joseph White in the final after the top seed took down Dylan Molinaro 3-0.

Both players are gunning for their first title with the ANC Honour Roll certain to be inscribed with a new name.
