2022 Australian Junior Open Singles events end with blockbuster finals

The 2022 Australian Junior Open singles champions have been crowned on a blockbuster day of squash at Bendigo Squash Centre. In an afternoon that featured nine finals, the top junior players from around the country took to the court to battle it out to win gold as supporters clambered around courts to catch a glimpse of the action.

The finals are locked in for the 2022 Australian Junior Open after a tough and exciting day at Bendigo Squash Centre. The day got underway with a number of quarter-finals in the U17 and U19 Boy's before the afternoon was highlighted by players vying for a chance to be in the Final. So as the nerves built so did the excitement around the venue.

The WSF World Doubles Squash Championships will be held in Scotland for the first time, with Glasgow playing host from 5-9 April 2022. It’s the seventh edition of the tournament since the event was brought under the World Squash Federation (WSF) umbrella in 1997 and it will feature women’s doubles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles categories, with players from 15 countries across the world competing.

Australia readies for World Doubles Championships

After a year and a half in the role, Squash Australia’s National Head Coach Stewart Boswell will lead Australia into his first international competition as coach when the WSF World Doubles Championships begin on 5 April. The former World No.4 was appointed to the National Coach role in spring 2020 but it’s been a long wait to see if and when Boswell would be able to lead an Australian team with the 2021 WSF Men's World Team Squash Championship and 2020 WSF World Junior Championships cancelled.

The 2022 Gympie PSA Satellite event is heading to Gympie Squash Racquets Association, Gympie from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 April with professional squash players from across Australia. This is the second PSA Satellite event Gympie have held following the creation of the tournament last year to benefit players looking for a stepping stone to the PSA Tour.
